Welcome to The Filey Surgery
The Filey Surgery aims to provide high quality healthcare to the people of Filey and its surrounding district. Our doctors, nurses and all other staff are dedicated to offering a professional service and this surgery website will help us to keep all our patients up to date with news and information about our practice and allow us to welcome new patients who wish to join us.
To ensure that you get assistance from the most appropriate clinician we have introduced a system known as "Total Triage" (more information on Total Triage can be found on our "News" page).
All appointments for GP's and prescribing clinician's will be triaged first, please click here or in the box below to complete your online form. Please note our online form is now also available to complete via the NHS App.
Online service - The new online service from AccuRx is even easier to submit medical, admin and prescription queries. The short online form is the quickest and simplest way for the majority of our patients to access support from the Surgery.
You don't need a password, you just need to be registered at The Filey Surgery. Enter your details and depending upon your medical needs we will contact you with advice by text or phone, and if appropriate offer an appointment. Please note our online service is open from 7am till 6pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. You can also access our online service via the NHS App.
For all routine/annual Practice Nurse and HCA appointments e.g. blood test, wound care, vaccinations, smear tests and all annual health reviews please contact the Surgery on 01723 515666 to arrange with our reception team.

More information on our "Online Services" under the "Further Information Menu".
Armed Forces Veteran Friendly Practice Accreditation - The Filey Surgery has recently achieved the Armed Forces Veteran Friendly Practice Accreditation. Please inform a member of the reception team if you are a veteran so we can add this to your medical record. This helps your GP to better understand any military related health conditions that you may have. It also ensures that you are referred, where appropriate, to dedicated health and wellbeing services for veterans.
Named Accountable GP
GP practices are required to provide all their patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to them. This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you currently do, in fact, because most of our doctors work part-time we would actively encourage you to build up a relationship with another doctor to help with your overall continuity of care. If you do not know the name of your Accountable GP or want to change who this is just ask at Reception or ask the GP or nurse at your next appointment.
